Chilled Tomato-Basil Protein Soup
Tomato, basil, Greek yogurt, and unflavored protein make a cool savory purée. Tomato acidity, dairy, herbs, and protein powders may not suit every plan; begin only with care-team approval and strain until absolutely smooth.

Ingredients
- 1 can (28 ounces) no-salt-added peeled tomatoes, drained
- 1 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt
- 2 scoops unflavored protein powder approved by your care team
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, optional and only when approved
- 4 fresh basil leaves, stems removed
Directions

Put the tomatoes, yogurt, approved protein powder, cumin, optional Worcestershire, and basil in a blender.

Blend for at least 60 seconds, then scrape the sides and blend again until perfectly uniform.

Pass through a fine-mesh strainer and discard seeds, skins, and herb pieces.

Chill for at least 1 hour. Stir well and measure a 1/2-cup serving.
