Lenna’s Second-Bell Cheesy Taco Dip

Cheesy Taco Dip

Lenna blended this when taco night needed a five-minute side quest. Cottage cheese and cheddar do the heavy lifting; the seasoning accepts the applause. Be mindful of sodium and seasoning tolerance.

Serving
1/4 cup dip with about 1/3 cup celery sticks
Texture
Creamy and lightly textured

Ingredients

  • 2 cups nonfat cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium taco seasoning
  • 3 cups celery sticks

Directions

  1. 1

Put the cottage cheese, cheddar, and taco seasoning in a food processor.

  2. 2

Process for about 5 seconds, just until blended; stopping promptly keeps the dip from becoming thin.

  3. 3

Divide into eight servings and offer each with about 1/3 cup celery sticks. Refrigerate the dip in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
